What does the Social Coven do?

We’re a creative studio for small businesses: branding, website design, social media management, content creation, and product/branding photography. We work locally in Portsmouth and Staffordshire, and offer remote product photography UK-wide.

Do you only work with certain industries?

No. We mostly support indie makers, service providers, and e-commerce brands but if your business is values-led and you care about good design, you’re our people.

Where are you based? Do you travel?

We’re based in Portsmouth (South Coast) and Staffordshire (Midlands). We travel across the UK for branding shoots and strategy sessions. Travel is quoted fairly in advance.

Can you work with me remotely?

Yes. Strategy, branding, web, and social are mostly done remotely. For products, we offer remote product photography: post items to our studio, we style, shoot, and return them.

How soon can we start?

This really depends on our current schedule, but this will be communicated on our Discovery call but they usually start within 2–6 weeks. Social media management and content retainers can start sooner, depending on onboarding and assets.

Services & Packages

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We know brand + web is a big investment. We take a 25% deposit to secure your slot, then split the remaining balance into monthly instalments across the project. Need a different cadence? Tell us what works and we’ll try to accommodate.

If someone else did my branding, can you design my website only?

We only build websites for brands we create (or fully refresh). Your brand is the foundation of your website, being part of that strategy is how we deliver something aligned, strategic, and built to convert. Vice versa, we don’t offer branding-only projects.

How long will my project take?

Every scope is different, but a full Branding + Website package typically runs 8–10 weeks end to end. You’ll get a timeline with milestones when we get started. Faster isn’t always better—our process protects quality.

Which platforms do you build on?

Shopify, Squarespace, or Showit. If you’re unsure, we’ll map your offers, content, integrations, and budget, then recommend the best fit (and why).

Do you offer ongoing web development?

Yes, but only on websites we’ve built. Retainers cover improvements, new pages, CRO tests, maintenance, and light feature requests so your site keeps performing post-launch.

What’s included in a Branding + Website package?

Can you help with copy, SEO, and analytics?

Absolutely. We can write or refine web copy, implement on-page SEO, connect GA4/Search Console, and set up essential tracking.

Do you work locally or remotely?

Both. We work UK-wide, with in-person sessions around Portsmouth and Staffordshire when helpful.

What do you need from me to start?

Your goals, offers, any existing assets, inspiration, and timely feedback. We’ll send an onboarding checklist so nothing gets missed.

how do i book?

Send an enquiry with your ideal start date. We’ll schedule a discovery call, shape your scope, and once the 25% deposit is in, lock your project into our calendar.

The Process

where are you based for branding photography

We are based in Portsmouth, Hampshire and Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire for sessions for founders, teams, and makers. If you’re located outside these areas, we can still travel for a fee.

How many revisions do I get?

Two rounds per phase as standard (brand, web, or content). Extra rounds are available at our hourly rate.

Social Media Management

What does “social media management for small businesses” include?

Content strategy, content calendars, copy, design, scheduling, community prompts, and monthly reporting. Add photography/video as needed.

Can you just create content for us?

Yes we can provide content creation only (you post), or full management (we plan, create, and post).

Do you run ads?

We can set up and manage Meta/Google ads alongside organic content, with clear budgets and measurable goals.
