Meet The Creative Director

Hi, I’m Sarah—
visual storyteller & brand designer

I’m Sarah, Creative Director at The Social Coven, where my focus is to bring your brand to life through visual storytelling and design.

After completing a BA in Performance Design and an MA in Film Production, I spent over 15 years working in film and television art departments, including BBC productions such as Call the Midwife. During that time, I wrote and directed a short film funded by Creative England, recognised as an emerging filmmaking talent. After stepping back to start a family, I traded the constant travel of cinema for a different creative life, first running my own apparel brand, and later helping others build lifestyle brands of their own.

My visual style is bold, cinematic, and magical, drawing inspiration from my past work as a set designer. I’m deeply drawn to high concept projects, particularly the gothic and the fantastical.

I’m endlessly fascinated by Victorian romanticism, myths, and fairytales, and my background in filmmaking still shapes how I approach every project: as a story first.

When I’m not on set or sketching concepts, you’ll find me curled up with a fantasy novel or wandering through Disney parks with my two boys (Henry 7 & Teddy 4)… I’m a self-confessed Disney adult, and Haunted Mansion will forever have my heart.

These days my passion is to help brands tell their stories with creativity, and a sense of personal magic, and I honestly cannot wait to work with you to build something truly special.

Meet The Marketing Director

Hi, I’m chelsea —
strategy lead & web designer

I’m a Swiftie at heart and marketing director at The Social Coven by trade. My journey in marketing started when I discovered my love for it while studying Business and Management and my passion for Photography when I studied Photography in college. Since then, I’ve been on an incredible ride, working on a wide range of exciting projects (from New York to Dubai!) and I’ve now been working in the industry for 8 years.

I’ve worked with a variety of demographics, from software companies to high-end ski clients, and eventually going freelance to help small businesses grow with my marketing agency, @bystudioember before I joined forces with Sarah and The Social Coven was born.

My approach is data-driven, story-led, and practical. I map strategy, content, and funnels; then I co-create visuals that support the plan. I love translating complexity into simple actions—landing pages that convert, emails that segment smartly, social that builds community and sales.

I’m a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman, so I design our process to be truly ND-friendly including structured comms, flexible planning, and tools that reduce overwhelm. Off-duty you’ll find me with a camera in hand, at a concert, or singing to Taylor Swift (naturally).

My passion is helping founders feel seen, supported, and set up for growth. I can’t wait to build something gorgeous together.
